The Turquoise Coast is a destination that offers a unique experience; sailing along the southwest of Turkey, one understands why this stretch of sea is called that way. Today, many destinations suffer from over-tourism, and some summer spots are truly overcrowded. The Turkish Riviera confirms itself as a paradise still little frequented, even though the good weather lasts from April to November.

The Turquoise Coast

Sailing in the Gulf of Göcek, we can choose from 12 nearby islands: long sails in open sea are not needed; with just a few miles, we can reach dreamlike places. Pushing a little further east towards Kekova, the Turquoise Coast offers us a truly unique scenery; we sail above a real submerged city from the Lycian era, visible directly from the water’s surface.

The Turquoise Coast

Bodrum, the ancient Halicarnassus, combines worldly charm with the tradition of the master shipbuilders who still today construct gulets (the historic wooden boats). This route is most affected by the Meltemi, offering a more active and sporty sailing experience. The deep Gulf of Gökova is wild, with very few settlements and spectacular bays like Cleopatra’s Bay, famous for its fine sand.

Marmaris is one of the largest natural harbors in the world. Sailing from here to the Datça Peninsula means moving on the border between the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. The Hisarönü Gulf, located along this route, is the new frontier of “luxury of silence”: unspoiled bays, small fishing villages like Bozburun, and zero crowding.

“I am proud and excited to see SIMENA launched and sailing“, said Kerim Kalafatoğlu, president of ARES Yachts, “My family has been building boats for generations, so I strongly wanted to express this heritage in a superyacht project. This vessel is both a calling card of the highest quality and proof that Turkey has emerged as a superpower in superyachts, equipped with the ability to design, engineer, and build top-level boats“.

A ketch with a traditional and elegant appearance with a modern hull shape, optimized for maximum performance. SIMENA features a clipper bow with double headsails reminiscent of a cutter rig, the main mast stands 59 meters above the waterline, while the mizzen mast reaches 48 meters. “The exterior of SIMENA is inspired by the elegance of classic sailing ships, interpreted on a much larger scale and with modern proportions“, said the founder of Taka Yacht Design, Tanju Kalaycioglu. “The design revolves around a sleek saddle, a clipper bow with a bowsprit, and a traditional ketch rig, elements that give the yacht a strong and recognizable silhouette.“

Simena is capable of deploying an impressive sail area. The mainsail covers 470 square meters, the mizzen is 249 sqm, and there are 596 sqm of genoa plus a staysail of 356 sqm – all sails are signed by Doyle. SIMENA reaches a speed of 16 knots with 20 knots of wind at an angle of 100 degrees to the wind, seven captive winches (submerged drum) hidden under the deck allow the captain to adjust the sails at the push of a button, while Antal winches make it quick and easy to hoist, lower the sails or reduce sail area in case of excessive wind (reefing).

Four generous guest cabins, including two VIPs and one flexible twin, occupy the accommodation deck. A fifth flexible cabin at the aft central staircase can be used for occasional guest use or for crew.

Brass details play a fundamental role: from the beams supporting the superstructure to the legs of the coffee table. Design Unlimited has created a complete range of fully customized furniture to fit the interior concept, often working with high-quality Turkish materials, beautiful Turkish stone to decorate the large guest bathrooms. Shades of gray, lavender, and a stunning brass color in the delicate veining of the marble elevate the space and contrast beautifully with the black and brass finish of the Gessi fixtures.

“Embracing the traditional values of yachting with contemporary technology and design, the interior style of SIMENA aims to create a relaxed and refined retreat, perfect for escaping and entertaining family and friends“, said associate designer John Everett.

The name of this majestic sailing vessel comes from Simena and the island of Kekova, among the most beautiful beaches of the Turquoise Coast, the name “Kekova” comes from Turkish and means “the plain of thyme”, it is a region known for its great beauty and charm, very popular among boaters who sail in these waters. And among the various places to anchor, Kekova-Simena is one of the most appreciated.

GX Superyacht, the flagship expression of Greenline Yachts excellence, reaches 42 meters with a striking design that has now become a reality. The GX42 will be launched at the beginning of summer and officially presented at the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show 2026, scheduled to take place in the stunning setting of Monaco from September 25-28, 2026.

gx superyacht

Born from the innovative vision that has always defined the Greenline Yachts team, a new icon of elegance and sustainability takes shape. GX Superyacht is a true concentration of aesthetics and technology, fully reflecting the group’s DNA.

Construction is now entering its final phase, with the GX42 progressing according to schedule ahead of launch. This marks a key milestone for the teams, who are focused on ensuring that every finish exceeds expectations. The furnishings and carpentry work have been completed, and attention has now shifted to the final outfitting of the owner’s suite and the spacious main deck salon.

“The progress on the GX42 is perfectly aligned with our objectives – said Maurizio Magri, Chief Commercial Officer of GX Superyachts – With the summer launch in sight, we are entering the exciting final phase of detailed interior outfitting, which will finally allow us to see the completed yacht come to life. The way this groundbreaking project has evolved is a testament to the dedication and expertise of everyone involved. It will be a moment of great pride when we unveil the yacht at the Monaco Yacht Show for its world debut”.

The interior design features natural tones and materials that harmonize with the yacht’s eco-conscious performance, such as rich walnut panels for walls and furniture, contrasted with white leather and glossy lacquers. High-quality Italian fabrics add a refined touch to the upholstery.

“Seeing the interior we designed come to life in a tangible way is deeply satisfying – said Marco Casali – We always set a very high standard for finishes and detailing in superyachts, but this first GX Superyacht is something truly exceptional. It is a real manifesto of quality”.

The first GX42 will spend its debut season cruising the western Mediterranean, while the shipyard continues development of the new Vojager 38 and Vojager 45 GX Superyacht models, along with two additional projects that will complete the range: the GX 35 and the GX 50.

Pylos is a corner of Peloponnese where the wind smells of myrtle, and history has the same density as the wild nature. We are talking about the Bay of Navarino and Pylos, one of the most fascinating and “understated” destinations in the Mediterranean for the modern boater. Famous for the Battle of Navarino fought in the waters of the Peloponnese port on October 20, 1827, during the Greek War of Independence, set your course Southwest: we will take you to discover a unique nautical paradise.

The Bay of Navarino and the Port of Pylos

The gigantic island of Sfakteria (Sfacteria) acts as a natural breakwater, closing the bay and creating an exceptionally calm body of water, almost a marine lake protected from all winds from the western quadrant, making the entrance to the bay of Pylos one of the most spectacular in the entire Ionian Sea.

Sailing in these waters offers a perfect mix of relaxation and exploratory navigation. Here are the must-see stops for your logbook:

The Island of Sfakteria and the Islet of Fanari

Anchoring close to the white cliffs of the island allows you to enjoy turquoise waters and perfect seabeds for snorkeling. A little further south, the rock of Tsichli Baba (or Fanari) features an impressive natural rock arch, under which you can pass with the tender.

For those sailing, Costa Navarino is not just a beautiful coastal view, but a hub of premium services. The eco-friendly mega-complex (which includes the prestigious hotels Westin, The Romanos, W and the luxurious Mandarin Oriental) overlooks the adjacent coastline.

The route Pylos – Costa Navarino represents the new frontier of sustainable yachting in Greece. Away from the overcrowding of the Cyclades and protected from the fierce Meltemi, Messinia nautical offers the perfect balance between the authenticity of old Greek ports and the five-star hospitality of the most exclusive resorts in the Mediterranean. An experience to write in your logbook for the current season.

The propulsion is provided by two 850 horsepower engines that ensure high performance and exceptional efficiency even on long distances. The reduced draft also represents an important added value, as it allows the catamaran to easily access secluded bays, shallow anchorages, and destinations often unreachable by vessels of this size.

stern view
Versatile and refined, the brand new 70 Power Amber One is the ideal solution for those seeking a luxury catamaran capable of combining large spaces, brilliant performance, and sophisticated design. A vessel designed to experience the sea without compromise, where every detail is crafted to offer an exclusive experience marked by style, innovation, and construction quality.

Velysum Venezia and Nicola De Pellegrini will present their first model of a luxury houseboat with a project that combines navigation, the Art de Vivre, and well-being.

The new houseboat aims to land in luxury hospitality on water, combining slow tourism with high standards of comfort and finishes typical of high-end yachts and luxury hotels.

Velysum Venezia

The concept

“With this project, we wanted to imagine a new form of hospitality on water: a place that combines freedom, nature, design, and quality of living. Not just a simple boat, but a floating suite capable of offering an authentic, slow, and deeply contemporary experience,” comments architect Nicola De Pellegrini, holistic architect and designer, founder of the studio Anidride Design.

The vessel is designed to offer an immersive experience, in tune with the new scenarios emerging in experiential tourism. Seas, lakes, rivers, marinas, and natural contexts become places to be experienced at a slower pace, authentically and deeply connected to nature and the landscape.

Velysum Venezia

Materials and navigation

Measuring 12 meters in length, the houseboat is made with a structure and shell entirely in aluminum, protected by a special treatment designed to ensure durability over time.

Its propulsion system consists of a 40-horsepower internal combustion engine and two electric motors, designed for navigation at moderate speeds and maximum maneuverability.

Velysum Venezia, a floating suite

A true floating suite where the interiors consist of a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed measuring 2×2 meters, a living area, dining table, wardrobe, and a kitchen to offer a complete, intimate, and luxurious living experience.

A distinctive element of the project is the light well located above the bed, corresponding to the flybridge, which allows for sky observation even at night, enhancing the dialogue between architecture, natural light, and landscape. The large sliding glass wall in a “C” shape, designed to expand the perception of space, creates a fluid continuity with the outdoor area equipped for relaxation.

Luxury details and interior design

Particular attention has been given to the bathroom, designed with dimensions, materials, and finishes rarely found in this category of vessels and closer to the language of large yachts and high hospitality suites. The space features a large shower with a light well, marble finishes, and luxury-level details. Furnishings and coverings express a precise design vision: to transfer a high living standard onto the water through an approach that blends luxury hospitality, yacht interior design, and a culture of detail. The interiors combine precious woods, marble, metal, glass, and high-end finishes, aiming to create a warm, essential, and timeless atmosphere.

Velysum Venezia introduces a new concept of tourism and houseboats, winking at luxury hospitality, resorts, marinas, and destinations oriented towards this type of tourism.

Velysum Venezia At the Venice Boat Show 2026

Participation in the Venice Boat Show 2026 represents the first step towards the development of new solutions that embrace different worlds: boating, architecture, and luxury hospitality.

The new houseboat will be presented to the public at the Venice Boat Show, at the Arsenale in Venice, from May 27 to 31, 2026.

The Smeralda Coast is famous worldwide for its turquoise waters and wild nature, but at the same time, it is known for being a beloved destination for actors and high society figures, lovers of glamour and unspoiled sea.

Born in the 1960s through the initiative of Prince Karim Aga Khan, who, along with a group of architects personally chosen by him, imposed very strict rules for the construction of hotels and villas that had to “disappear” among the rocks and vegetation. No building could be taller than the surrounding hills or the Mediterranean scrub plants, all structures had to have soft lines, with no rigidity of style.

Porto Cervo Marina

The preferred destination for luxury tourism and shipowners, exclusive and incredibly snobbish, can accommodate up to 700 boats and is divided into the Old Port and the New Marina (modern and well-equipped), specifically designed to welcome the mega-yachts of international VIPs. Here is the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS), founded in 1967 by Aga Khan himself, one of the most prestigious sailing clubs in the world, which organizes historic international regattas every year (such as the Maxi Yacht Cup and the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta) that clearly attract the best sailors and the most competitive boats in the world, providing a truly exciting show for those lucky enough to witness it. In the coming days, the Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta will take place from May 26 to May 30, 2026 with a very busy schedule.

Porto Rotondo Marina

Just a few kilometers from Olbia, the village develops in an almost perfectly circular natural inlet, a unique geographical feature from which the name “Rotondo” derives. Founded in 1964 by the Venetian counts Nicolò and Luigi Donà dalle Rose, Porto Rotondo was born with the idea of creating a village for artists and intellectuals. It can accommodate up to 600 boats, including large luxury yachts, and its dock is surrounded by bars, restaurants with sea-view terraces, and high-fashion boutiques.

Venice Boat Show 2026, the Arsenale at the center of the international nautical scene from Wednesday, May 27 to Sunday, May 31, the seventh edition promoted by the Municipality of Venice and organized by Vela spa in collaboration with the Italian Navy, confirms itself as one of the most anticipated events in the Mediterranean.

300 boats will be present and 270 exhibitors from Italy, Europe, and the Eastern Mediterranean. A complete panorama that embraces all shipbuilding, from the latest generation yachts, catamarans to traditional boats, from inflatable boats to solutions for electric and hybrid navigation. Arsenale, a symbol of Venetian maritime tradition, is preparing to welcome industry operators, shipyards, designers, and enthusiasts from all over the world in a unique setting, among historic docks and renewed exhibition spaces, with over 55,000 sqm of water mirror and more than a kilometer of docks, where history, innovation, and maritime culture dialogue.

The main dock, the “Riviera,” will host large yachts and new products from international shipyards: among them, the Ferretti Group brings seven boats including the world premiere Ferretti 670 and the Pershing 6X, with its sleek and agile shapes and cutting-edge technology; Next Group arrives with the fast flybridge AB 80 with jet propulsion, and then the sailing catamaran with electric propulsion Sunreef 70 from Sunreef Yachts, a masterpiece of design and innovation, a 70-foot yacht.
For the first time at the Venice Boat Show, Numarine from Turkey presents the 30XP, the first diesel-electric model of the successful XP explorer range.

The design of Azimut Magellano 66 with the Dual Mode hull, which ensures stability and comfort, the artisanal care of Invictus Yacht with TT460, up to the world premiere Calita from Biondi Yacht, an 11-meter catamaran that represents a double debut, for the boat itself and for the shipyard’s first participation in the Show.

Useful Information for Visiting the Venice Boat Show

You can reach the exhibition both on foot and by public transport in Venice:

Top Marques Monaco, the 21st edition concluded with an unprecedented balance. Among million-dollar supercar sales, world premieres, and an unprecedented attendance, the Principality confirms itself as the absolute capital of automotive luxury.

The Grimaldi Forum was the protagonist of an event that moved visitors; the 2026 edition of Top Marques indeed shattered every record, with about 22,000 entries in just four and a half days, and almost all exhibitors have already confirmed their presence for 2027.

Over 235 vehicles displayed among supercars, classic cars, and motorcycles; several supercars were purchased directly in the pavilions; one of the classic car exhibitors sold out their entire car collection. According to the organizers, one of the keys to success was the private opening reserved for collectors on Wednesday, May 6, sponsored by Ex Jets, which allowed for private negotiations even before the inauguration.

Sixteen world premieres and among the protagonists is the Giamaro Krafla, a hypercar with a quad-turbo V12 engine producing 2,157 horsepower.

OQTA: the new German manufacturer that won the Top Marques Visitors Award in the “Supercar” category with its first engineering masterpiece.

“There was a palpable atmosphere of excitement throughout the week. This edition definitively demonstrates that Top Marques plays an essential role in the global market.” — Émeric Garcia, Director of the show.

Many international guests: Formula 1 legends Fernando Alonso, Mika Häkkinen, and Arthur Leclerc, along with footballer Paul Pogba.

Towards 2027

With the integration into the Informa Prestige portfolio (which also includes the Monaco Yacht Show), Top Marques has shifted gears. The success of the new pavilion dedicated to luxury preparers and the business volume generated lay the groundwork for an “even bigger and more ambitious” 2027.

For enthusiasts and collectors, the appointment is already set for the next TOP MARQUES MONACO; just mark the dates as soon as they are made public.

CAYAGO AG, a leading German manufacturer of exclusive and innovative water sports vehicles in the field of e-mobility, and the Italian luxury car manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini have created the new SEABOB SE63.

The SEABOB SE63 redefines electric mobility in water with high performance and a zero-emission propulsion system; its name pays homage to the special edition and the founding year of Automobili Lamborghini, 1963.

Design and technology

The cockpit features the now legendary ignition button, centrally located in carbon fiber and typical of Lamborghini cars, while the speedometer uses the same design as the Italian brand’s supercars. The high-level technology employs sophisticated materials such as titanium and magnesium.

Performance and driving

Weighing just 35 kg, it allows for easy handling on board yachts, and despite its size, it offers a power of 162 TP, with two different driving modes: Normal Mode for underwater excursions and Sport Mode for maximum speed. An optional Performance Board is available that allows for prone riding to reach speeds of 35 KM/h, able to glide in just a few seconds thanks to a foil located on the underside.

Distribution is expected to begin around this time to allow for use during the upcoming summer of 2026, leaving only the dilemma of choosing a color from those available.

Alpha 45, the new model from the Athenian shipyard, pushes the boundaries of sport boating towards new paradigms of speed and comfort, blending the world of luxury day boats and with pure racing performance.

Powered by four 500 HP outboards, the Alpha 45 is capable of literally “flying” over the water at speeds exceeding 85 knots. This is also made possible by its Dynastreram Deep-V hull with ventilated steps which ensures stability and precise handling even at high speeds. Its “wave-piercing” bow enables an exceptionally smooth and soft ride over waves, always guaranteeing maximum safety underway.

The design that defines Technohull models is certainly their advanced aerodynamics, featuring a windshield and hardtop with a more pronounced rake to reduce wind resistance and drag. Side deflectors channel airflow to provide greater protection in the cockpit area, while the centrally positioned helm station offers 360-degree visibility.

Although the Alpha 45 is born with a true sporty soul, onboard comfort is truly impressive; both on deck and below deck, the spaces and layout have been carefully designed and built to maximize the onboard experience at the highest level. With this model, the shipyard once again demonstrates that it is not always necessary to choose between adrenaline and relaxation, between comfort and performance.

While for many speed ends at 50 knots, for Technohull the real fun begins right there. Its models, with their aerodynamic profiles, black or dark grey tubes, breathtaking performance, and sophisticated design, are just some of the features that have made the Greek shipyard a benchmark in the high-end RIB segment. The Alpha 45 is a supercar of the sea and, as such, delivers emotions that are often unmatched.

“The Alpha 45 represents a major innovation in our luxury performance range, drawing on the very best of Technohull’s DNA and introducing new design elements”, says Gerasimos Petratos, CEO of Technohull. “The onboard space is exceptional and each unit will be finished according to our rigorous standards, but it is in its passage over the water that this vessel truly shines. The Alpha 45 demands to be driven — and will reward owners with an unprecedented boating experience”.
