Sinot, from visionary concepts to future trends

Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design is far more than a world-renowned studio specializing in luxury superyachts and megayachts—it is a benchmark for visionary yacht design. Founded by Dutch designer Sander Sinot, the studio has built its reputation on a philosophy that seamlessly integrates interior and exterior spaces, conceiving them as one harmonious living environment.

SINOT

From the earliest stages of interior architecture to the careful selection of bespoke artworks, every detail is meticulously crafted to enhance the dialogue between form and materials. Each year at the Monaco Yacht Show, Sinot presents groundbreaking concepts that anticipate the evolving aspirations of yacht owners and often set the direction for future industry trends. At the heart of the studio’s “inside-out” philosophy is the desire to create an uninterrupted connection between guests and the sea, dissolving the traditional boundaries between indoors and outdoors.

The “Visionary” Concepts

Among the studio’s latest conceptual projects, AURA (141 metres), unveiled at last year’s Monaco Yacht Show, stands as one of its most sophisticated creations. Designed to maintain a continuous relationship with the ocean, the yacht features expansive panoramic lounges, generous outdoor living areas, a spectacular Beach Club, and an entire private deck dedicated to the owner. The concept is a tribute to the sea and to humanity’s timeless bond with the ocean, expressed through understated elegance rather than ostentation.

AURA elevates simplicity into an ultra-refined form of bespoke minimalism. Fold-down platforms provide effortless and safe access to the water, while the Panorama Lounge offers breathtaking views for social gatherings. A dedicated Diver’s Club celebrates underwater exploration, and an exclusive Observatory Lounge crowns the yacht, seemingly suspended between sea and sky. At the stern, the Beach Club features dramatic double-height spaces and a monumental art installation, visually and physically connecting multiple decks with the ocean. The private Owner’s Deck completes the experience as an exclusive sanctuary, while guests are accommodated in six VIP cabins and one VIP suite. Throughout the project, AURA expresses its identity through moderation, balance, and serenity, proving that true luxury lies in harmony rather than excess.

Sinot, INSPIRE the ability to dream

Another remarkable concept, INSPIRE, is conceived as an environment that stimulates positive energy, drawing inspiration from the principles of Feng Shui. Its architecture encourages a natural flow of movement, light, and sensory experience, creating spaces that promote well-being through a profound connection with nature.

At its heart lies a spectacular multifunctional theatre, designed to host intimate concerts, live performances, or immersive cinematic experiences. This dramatic space frames the magnificent swimming pool within the Beach Club, embodying a vision of luxury that is discreet yet transformative, redefining the experience of life at sea.

The owner’s suite enjoys sweeping 180-degree forward-facing panoramic views. Beyond the bedroom, the private deck includes an elegant lounge and a combined artist’s studio and creative office—a secluded retreat designed for writing, creative work, or managing personal projects while surrounded only by the horizon. Stabilised greenery and indoor gardens reinforce the owner’s connection with nature, even during extended transoceanic voyages.

Over the years, Sinot has consistently challenged conventional yacht design through projects that have reshaped perspectives on modern naval architecture. Among them are Poetry or MUSASHI and FOUNTAINHEAD, two 88-meter sister ships – Feadship (MUSASHI was owned by Oracle magnate Larry Ellison) or ULYSSES launched in 2024 also by Feadship. A 103-metre Explore Yacht designed to travel safely from the Arctic to tropical waters. The next opportunity to discover the studio’s latest vision will come at the Monaco Yacht Show, taking place from 23 to 26 September, where Sinot is expected to unveil an entirely new megayacht concept.
