The Smeralda Coast is famous worldwide for its turquoise waters and wild nature, but at the same time, it is known for being a beloved destination for actors and high society figures, lovers of glamour and unspoiled sea.
Born in the 1960s through the initiative of Prince Karim Aga Khan, who, along with a group of architects personally chosen by him, imposed very strict rules for the construction of hotels and villas that had to “disappear” among the rocks and vegetation. No building could be taller than the surrounding hills or the Mediterranean scrub plants, all structures had to have soft lines, with no rigidity of style.

In the coming days, the Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta will take place from May 26 to May 30, 2026 with a very busy schedule.

Porto Rotondo Marina
Just a few kilometers from Olbia, the village develops in an almost perfectly circular natural inlet, a unique geographical feature from which the name “Rotondo” derives. Founded in 1964 by the Venetian counts Nicolò and Luigi Donà dalle Rose, Porto Rotondo was born with the idea of creating a village for artists and intellectuals. It can accommodate up to 600 boats, including large luxury yachts, and its dock is surrounded by bars, restaurants with sea-view terraces, and high-fashion boutiques.
